Denetic Studio

Denetic Studio is an independent team of seven building atmospheric, story-led games. I founded it in 2024 because the games I most wanted to play kept not existing.

Worlds beyond the ordinary.

We are early, and we say so. There is no announced title yet — what there is instead is a shared idea of what a Denetic game should feel like, a team small enough that every person is load-bearing, and the work of turning that into something playable in Unreal Engine 5.

My job as founder is two jobs. One is creative direction: holding the shape of the thing so seven people are building the same game. The other is engineering — the systems, the tools, and the unglamorous pipeline work that decides whether a small team ships or stalls.

On not announcing anything yet

A studio that announces early spends the next two years defending a promise instead of making a game. We would rather show you something when it is worth your attention. Until then the honest status is the one above: concept and story development, seven people, no title.

01Principles

Five rules the whole team designs against. They are written down because a small studio survives on agreement, not on supervision.

01

Respect the player

We assume you are paying attention. We do not explain the puzzle in the cutscene before it.

02

Atmosphere first

Place does the heavy lifting. A room should be frightening before anything happens in it.

03

Small on purpose

Seven people. Every one of them load-bearing. We would rather cut a feature than add a floor.

04

Finish things

A shipped game beats a beautiful vertical slice. Scope is a design decision, not an accident.

05

No dark patterns

You buy the game. That is the transaction. There is no second one waiting.

02My role

Founder is not a job description. In a team this size it is two jobs held at once, and both of them are hands-on.

01

Creative direction and scope

02

Gameplay & systems engineering

03

Engine, tooling and build pipeline

04

Team, hiring and production rhythm

Studio notes, first looks, and the occasional announcement — posted when there is genuinely something worth sharing.
